Our Story
HelixaHealth.ai was founded with a deeply personal mission: to help patients and families find clarity when medicine provides only uncertainty.
That journey began when co-founder Sean Howard's son developed a complex neurological illness. Sean and his family sought answers from leading neurological centers across the United States. Despite extensive consultations and testing, no clear diagnosis or treatment plan emerged.
As a father, Sean could not accept that uncertainty. He pursued full genomic sequencing of his son and spent countless hours combing through publicly available medical literature. His persistence uncovered overlooked insights that pointed to potential contributors to his son's condition. Armed with this information, he was able to support a new approach to care that placed his son on the road to recovery.
This experience revealed a painful truth: families managing chronic or complex conditions often face years of unanswered questions in a healthcare system not designed to connect the dots across genetics, lifestyle, and emerging research.

Niranjan Seshadri, MD, JD
Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Niranjan Seshadri brings over 25 years of clinical and leadership experience to HelixaHealth.ai. A board-certified interventional cardiologist, he trained in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic and completed an advanced fellowship at Harvard Medical School. Over his career, he has cared for thousands of patients with complex cardiovascular disease, earning recognition for both clinical excellence and advocacy for more holistic, patient-centered care.
Frustrated by the limits of conventional medicine in addressing chronic illness, he became a strong proponent of precision medicine and data-driven healthcare. To broaden his impact beyond the clinic, Dr. Seshadri pursued legal training, graduating cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center. He is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at UC Berkeley School of Law, specializing in Artificial Intelligence Law and Policy and Technology Law. This rare combination of medical and legal expertise places him at the forefront of healthcare innovation and governance.

Sean Howard
Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer
Sean Howard is a seasoned med-tech executive with over 25 years of experience in the vascular and cardiology device industry. His training began at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, which led him into both business and clinical roles in the surgical setting. As Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of HelixaHealth.ai, Sean brings deep expertise in sales leadership, clinical strategy, and business development. He has played key roles in launching cutting-edge devices and pioneering new endovascular procedures with companies such as Endologix, Inari, and Cook Medical. His leadership experience includes opening new markets, building high-performing teams, and partnering with leading physicians to accelerate adoption of disruptive technologies.
Sean's career spans device sales, corporate development, and startup leadership, where he helped bring transformative technologies from concept to commercialization. At HelixaHealth.ai, he has been instrumental from concept through product development, focusing on operational excellence and scalability.
Beyond his professional expertise, Sean is the father of two children with complex chronic illnesses. This personal journey gives him unique perspective and drives his passion to make health data actionable, integrated, and accessible, empowering families to find answers with greater clarity and confidence.

Amar Bukkasagaram is a technology entrepreneur and data innovator with nearly two decades of experience in AI, big data, and enterprise solutions. In 2004, he founded Datum Consulting Group, building it into a global IT and analytics firm serving Fortune 500 clients before its acquisition by Alithya Group in 2022. As Senior Vice President at Alithya, Amar led data solutions and innovation, applying AI and analytics to mission-critical systems across industries.
Amar's expertise lies in designing platforms that transform complex datasets into actionable insights. Having witnessed AI's transformative impact in finance, logistics, and enterprise operations, he is passionate about bringing those capabilities into healthcare.
As Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of HelixaHealth.ai, Amar leads platform development and technical strategy. He oversees the design of the AI engine that powers the platform, ensuring it securely processes genetic, clinical, and lifestyle data to generate clear, personalized insights.
