• Informational Only: Helixa Health provides general health and wellness information for educational purposes only. The Platform does not provide medical advice, clinical diagnosis, treatment recommendations, or prescriptions.
• No Provider-Patient Relationship: Your use of Helixa Health does not create a physician-patient, therapist-patient, pharmacist-patient, or any other clinical relationship between you and Helixa Health.
• AI Limitations: Health insights are generated by artificial intelligence systems that may produce outputs that are incomplete, inaccurate, or not applicable to your individual circumstances. AI systems may generate errors or "hallucinations." You should treat all AI-generated content as preliminary and subject to professional verification.
• Consult Your Provider: You should always seek the advice of a licensed healthcare professional before making any medical decision, changing medications, altering treatment plans, beginning any supplement or diet regimen, or starting an exercise program. You should never delay or forgo seeking professional medical advice because of content on this Platform.
• Supplement Disclaimer: Any supplement recommendations are informational only and have not been evaluated by the FDA. The Platform is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

3. Genetic Data Processing

Before uploading genetic data to Helixa Health, you have reviewed and consented to the following:

What We Do With Your Genetic Data:

• Your genetic data is analyzed by our AI systems to generate personalized health insights, variant interpretations, and wellness recommendations for your informational use.
• Genetic data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). It is pseudonymized during AI processing and logically separated from AI vector databases.
• Genetic data is not shared with employers, health insurers, life insurers, disability insurers, long-term care insurers, data brokers, or any third party for underwriting, actuarial, or employment purposes.

Legal Protections and Limitations:

• GINA: The Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA) prohibits the use of genetic information in health insurance and employment decisions. However, GINA does not cover life insurance, disability insurance, or long-term care insurance.
• State Laws: Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional genetic privacy protections (e.g., under Illinois GIPA, California CalGINA/CPRA, or other state statutes). You can exercise state-specific rights through your account settings or by contacting us.

4. Health Records & Lab Data

Before uploading health records or lab results, you have reviewed and consented to the following:

• Voluntary Upload: By uploading health records to Helixa Health, you are voluntarily sharing this data outside the HIPAA framework. Helixa Health is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA. Once you upload your data, it is governed by the Helixa Health Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, not by HIPAA.
• Your Responsibility: You represent that you have the legal right to upload the health records you provide. If you are uploading records for a minor, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of that minor.
• Processing: Your health records are analyzed by AI systems to generate educational insights. These insights are not medical advice and should be reviewed with your healthcare provider.
• Security: Uploaded records are encrypted, access-controlled, and subject to audit logging as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Privacy & Data Use

Helixa Health is committed to protecting your privacy. Here is a summary of how we handle your data:
